ba-bau’s approach to studio space is flexible. All of our available space can be converted to working space as needed by the residence artists, the ba-bau collective, or our friends and partners. We try to ensure our facilities are as inclusive as possible to different disciplines to support meaningful production of art, knowledge, and relationships.

The people at ba-bau come from different walks of life, but all are united by a sense of camaraderie. Each of us brings unique skills and expertise to our open-minded and interdisciplinary approach to art. Our partners and friends include both established and emerging institutions and individuals, from artists and researchers to craftsmen and students. In ba-bau space, new ideas come from being in the same place. Those ideas can then be realized by converting ba-bau’s space to the necessary laboratory, be it a screening room, sculpture/painting studio, or any other use.
